Today on the podcast I’m welcoming Kelly Kunz. She is the founder of Street Justice Ministry, and in this episode, I’m sitting down with her as she shares her difficult story of how loss and immense pain in her childhood lead her to becoming trapped in trafficking and addiction as an adult. You’ll hear how she ultimately encountered God and began living life with a renewed sense of purpose through her mobile ministry that meets people where they are!

I saw a short snippet of Kelly's story and ministry on CBS news Minnesota a year or so ago, and made note to reach out to her. I’m so glad I did, because her story is so much more powerful than I could have ever imagined. Born into trauma, she’s lived a very difficult life in many ways, yet she’s found the redemptive love of Jesus…and He’s transformed her life! This is a true Lovelight Story in many sense of the word! She was walking in extreme darkness and is now living in the light! Not only that, but she is now able to emulate the same love and light she found in Jesus to everyone she meets on the streets of Minneapolis-St. Paul. Her story and the life she is living today is simply a gift to us all!

Kelly has told me that she and her story has been rejected in the past. My hope is that’s not the case here. You might not agree with everything discussed or even believe all of Kelly’s story, and that’s ok! As Kelly would tell you, it wouldn’t be the first…But let us remember the intent and purpose behind this podcast:
We’re here to understand Kelly’s perspective which stems from lots of life experiences. We’re here to seek and understand the life she’s lived so that we can embrace greater worldviews, more empathy, and love in our own lives.

The transformation is palpable as she very vulnerably shares her story for the glory of God! Her life today and her love of God is enough for me to believe her story’s real!
